Since childhood art has been my window into freedom – a private retreat which I could escape into. Painting, drawing, and photography were always a means for me to create my own world; a world which could be whatever I wanted it to be, real or not. I have always held a childlike fascination and passion for nature, the land, and stories of life back then, so these are the subjects I am most drawn to in my work.
While I have concentrated mostly on photography over the past 5 or 6 years, painting has become a daily part of my artistic practice again. In 2009, I was juried into the prestigious Alberta Society of Artist’s. My work hangs in public and private collections around the world.
